Must fit into the company culture: Work Hard, Play harder The following are requirements: Support Installation Technician is a person who works with supervision to install wiring, cable, components and devices for low-voltage electronics in residential applications (including home theater, audio, video, home automation, radio frequency, telephony and data networks). • The overall installation of equipment, cabling, cabling labels, connectors, racking hardware, racks and other items as they relate to Desert Sound & Security (DSS) business. • Support quality control of site work and/or shop work. • Contribute to troubleshooting of all systems throughout installation process. • Contribute to the system design process. • Contribute to project documentation, to include interpretation and collection of information to develop as built final drawings. • Fabrication of systems as designed to include: building of racks, mounting of equipment, signal terminations and labeling. • Testing of solutions • Installation of cables, racks and other equipment at job sites or in shop. • Deliver equipment by way of the company provided vehicle or other means when required. • Participate in staff and company meetings. Lead Installation Technician (in addition to the Support Tech) supervises and works on projects, interacts with others, installs, troubleshoots, calibrates and ensures that the installation meets specifications. This individual must meet Level I Installer with additional knowledge. • Support communications with client representatives and other involved contractors and DSS staff. • Contribute to written correspondence files of all communications with senior engineer regarding progress of job, anticipated changes from initial estimates, signoffs and approval from owner for change orders. • Participate in staff and company meetings. • Contribute to progress reports of all jobs at regular intervals. • Contribute to formal project personal performance evaluations and reviews at the conclusion of each engagement for all DSS staff and selected subcontractors when appropriate.
